Alfa Laval honors VTI's excellent performance with two awards​

Appreciation from a customer: VULKAN Technologies Pvt: Ltd (VTI) is pleased to receive recognition at the highest level from its customer Alfa Laval, one of the world’s leading suppliers of key technologies in the fields of heat transfer, separation and fluid handling.

For the fourth time in the last eight years, Alfa Laval has honored VTI with the “Best Supplier Performance Award”. In addition, the VULKAN company also received the “Sustainability Award 2022,” a category that Alfa Laval introduced this year as a brand new way to evaluate its suppliers. The award ceremony took place during the Alfa Laval Supplier Conference in Pune on March 1.

Selection criteria

The selection criteria for this award mainly cover the following areas:

– Business Principles Audit: – 88 points

– SDOT (Standard Delivery On-Time) for the last 3 years: – 100%.

– Quality for the last 3 years: – 100%

– Number of sites supplied: – 6

– Business value: – 3 million euros

– Sustainability initiatives

– Cost competitiveness

– Communication

VTI exceeded Alfa Laval’s expectations with excellent performance results in all the above categories. Sustainable initiatives such as ISO-50001 implementation, green energy (photovoltaics) and Green Building Gold Rating were some of the main reasons for the award.

Longstanding customer relationships

VTI currently supplies products to a total of six Alfa Laval plants worldwide. VTI has been a supplier to Alfa Laval’s Indian plant since 2007. The VULKAN company supplies the Alfa Laval plant with couplings and coupling parts, steel and aluminum castings.

Continuous improvement

These achievements have now been honored once again. These programs implemented by VTI have also been repeatedly recognized by prestigious customers through audits and evaluation of performance as part of continuous improvement using an evaluation matrix.
