The 2026 annual cricket tournament hosted by Vulkan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (VTI) once again brought together teamwork, sportsmanship, and employee engagement. This year’s edition took place at the company’s state-of-the-art Multipurpose Sports Arena, which once again proved to be the ideal venue for fast-paced, high-energy indoor cricket.
The tournament saw enthusiastic participation, with 200 players from different departments forming 16 teams that competed in 30 matches. The growing interest year after year underscores the strong sporting culture that is developing within our company.
A dynamic format for excitement in the hall
To make the games fast, entertaining, and exciting, rules specifically tailored to the indoor facility were established for the 2026 tournament. These included a limited overs format for fast-paced games, bonus point zones, and compact field restrictions that encouraged quick reflexes and tactical shot selection.
These rules presented all teams with a unique challenge and made every game unpredictable and exciting for players and spectators alike. In the end, Rajesh Mishra’s team won in the “Staff” category, the Runner Up was Rajesh Patil’s Team and Sunil Kokare’s team won in the “Workers” category. Here the Runner Up was Yadav Giri’s Team.
Award ceremony and words of encouragement from management
The closing ceremony was led by Rajesh Mishra, who praised the participants for their energy and teamwork. In his address to the players, he emphasized the importance of sport in building camaraderie and strengthening bonds in the workplace and encouraged greater participation in future editions. “Events like this not only promote fitness, but also bring colleagues together beyond the workplace”, he emphasized.
Continuing the tradition of active engagement
The 2026 cricket tournament successfully continued VULKAN’s commitment to promoting a vibrant and inclusive work culture. With increasing participation and growing enthusiasm, the event has firmly established itself as a highlight in VTI’s annual calendar.
