We are pleased to inform you that VULKAN Technologies Pvt Ltd (VTI) has been awarded the “Supplier Excellence Recognition Certificate 2022” by Caterpillar India Engineering Solutions Private Limited. VTI received this award for its aluminum foundry. The award function took place in a ceremonial setting in the presence of VTI employees and 3 senior management representatives of Caterpillar USA and 5 senior management representatives of Caterpillar India in the machining hall on the plant premises.
VTI looks back on a partnership with Caterpillar India and has already been awarded several times: in 2018, 2019 and 2020, with the “Supplier Quality Excellence Process Platinum” award for non-ferrous castings and recently with the “Supplier Excellence Recognition Certificate 2022” for other parts.
The selection criteria for the current award focused on the following areas:

VTI currently supplies products to two plants of Caterpillar India Engineering Solutions Private Limited. In 2022 VULKAN India has supplied Caterpillar around 130 different types of critical parts such as oil sumps, oil pipes, water and air pipes, fuel rails, flywheel housings, suspension plates, block plates.
In 2022, VTI has supplied a total of 82,856 products to the Indian subsidiary of the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines for off-highway use, industrial gas turbines and diesel- electric locomotives. The associated business volume with Caterpillar India amounted to €6 million. Further business prospects here are also positive.
During the award ceremony, Rajesh Mishra, Managing Director of VTI, praised the performance of his team and the good cooperation with Caterpillar: “I thank you all for your efforts! And I thank Caterpillar for recognizing our performance. This encourages and motivates us to further increase our productivity.”
Mr. Maarten de Haas, Vice President Procurement of Caterpillar Group USA (Energy & Transportation Division), recognized VTI’s efforts and presented the plaque to the VTI team. The event ended with an acceptance speech by Mr. Prashant Patel, VP, VTI, in which he thanked the Caterpillar representatives present and assured continuous improvement on the part of VTI.
