Double Award for VTI at the VDMA Manufacturing Excellence Award

We are delighted to announce that Vulkan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (VTI) has received two awards at the VDMA Manufacturing Excellence Awards: Firstly, the company received the winner’s award in the “Corporate Social Responsibility” (CSR) category of the VDMA Manufacturing Excellence Awards. In addition, VTI was once again recognized in the “Working Conditions and Occupational Safety” category, where it took runner-up position. The awards ceremony took place during the 14th VDMA Mechanical Engineering Summit, which was held on October 10, 2025, at the Taj Yeshwantpur in Bangalore. This was the eighth time the awards have been presented.

VDMA India is the Indian representation of the VDMA (German Engineering Federation), the largest European industry association with more than 3,600 member companies. It plays a central role in promoting Indo-German cooperation in industry, fostering sustainable practices, and encouraging innovation in the manufacturing sector.

The CSR category of the VDMA Manufacturing Excellence Awards honours organisations that go beyond their business objectives and make a significant contribution to society and the environment. VULKAN India’s recognition in this category is a testament to its unwavering dedication to community development and environmental protection.

From a Biodiversity Park to Education and Health Programs

VULKAN’s impactful initiatives include the creation of the ‘Beyond the Fence’ Biodiversity Park, which serves as a green lung and educational space for the local community. The company also runs several education and healthcare programs aimed at uplifting underprivileged sections of society, along with active participation in environmental restoration projects.

The Medium Category CSR award was judged by a distinguished jury: Jury members were Jamly John, Head of Business Development and Public Relations at Roedl & Partner, Kanchan Bhat, Director at GABRIL INDUSTRIES PVT LTD, N. K. Sundaram, Senior Business Consultant, and Vasudha Chawla, Director of Kewal Engineering.

Reflecting on the achievement, Mr. Rajesh Mishra, Managing Director of Vulkan Technologies, remarked, “We are truly humbled by this recognition. At VULKAN, CSR is not just a mandate  it is a core value that drives us to contribute positively to the communities we serve. This award validates our efforts and inspires us to continue making a difference.”

Creating a Safe and Supportive Work Environment

The award for working conditions and occupational safety honors companies that place the health, safety, and overall well-being of their workforce at the center of their efforts. The recognition of VULKAN India in this category underscores the company’s proactive approach to creating a safe and supportive work environment.

The company’s robust Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) framework  anchored in ISO 45001 certification  emphasizes continuous improvement through regular risk assessments, safety drills, and employee training. Investments in ergonomic infrastructure, air quality monitoring systems, and automation technologies have significantly enhanced workplace safety and employee satisfaction.

The jury for this category consisted of Dr. Anton Reinfeder, Senior Consultant at Lüderspartner GmbH; Professor Pranab K Dan, Mechanical Engineering & Pro-Vice Chancellor at Seacom Skills University; Mr. R. Madhan, Chief Scientist at CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography (NIO); and Mr. Jetinder Nath, Founder & CEO of J N Consulting.
