VULKAN India Strengthens Manufacturing Expertise with New Production Facility

We are pleased to announce that VULKAN India (VTI) reached another significant milestone with
the inauguration of its new production facilities in Pirangut on 29th September 2026.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sebastian Meise, CEO of the VULKAN Group, Jana
Welsch, Chief Human Resources Officer
of the VULKAN Group, members of the Industrial
Engineering team from Germany led by Dominik Frank, construction partners, suppliers and VTI
employees.

The ceremony began with the official ribbon-cutting and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by
Sebastian Meise in the presence of invited guests, project partners and employees. The occasion
marked another important step in VTI’s continued development and growth journey.

More Capacity and Resources for the Steel & Aluminium Foundry

The newly inaugurated facility is a specialized production plant for castings made of stainless steel,
duplex stainless steel and high-alloy steel
, using both centrifugal casting and sand casting
processes. The investment strengthens VTI’s manufacturing capabilities and supports the company’s
long-term growth strategy. The new facility will not only increase the capacity of the existing steel
foundry but will also create opportunities for further expansion of the aluminium foundry. As certain
functions of the current steel foundry are gradually transferred to the new plant, additional capacity and
resources will become available to support the future growth of the aluminium foundry.

In his welcome address, Rajesh Mishra, Managing Director of VULKAN India, reflected on the
company’s remarkable development and thanked the Hackforth family and the VULKAN Group
Management for their continued trust and support. He emphasized that VTI’s growth and expansion
plans had always received strong backing and timely approval. This enabled the company to build
world-class capabilities and achieve important milestones over the years.

In his address, Sebastian Meise also looked back on VTI’s successful 25-year history and described it
as an outstanding example of courage, entrepreneurship and customer focus. He recalled how the
company started with a small office and a firm belief in the opportunities offered by the Indian market.
Guided by customer needs, VTI soon made the bold decision to build its own manufacturing
capabilities. This included establishing its first foundry, which added casting expertise to the VULKAN
Group’s portfolio. He highlighted that VTI’s continuous growth is based on staying close to customers,
identifying opportunities and making bold decisions at the right time.

Continued Support for VTI

Sebastian Meise also praised VTI’s innovative approach and the company’s ability to deliver technically
challenging products rather than focusing exclusively on standard applications. Referring to its
continued expansion, he noted that every visit to VTI includes discussions about future growth
opportunities – an indication of the impressive pace at which the company continues to develop. He
acknowledged the contribution of Laxman Waghmare, General Manager Foundry/Production, to the
growth of the foundry business; the role of Prashant Patel, Vice President Marketing, in expanding the
LOKRING ® business locally and globally; and Rajesh Mishra’s leadership and guidance throughout
VTI’s growth journey. On behalf of the Hackforth family, the VULKAN Group Board and Group

Management, he reaffirmed their continued support for VTI’s future development and thanked all
employees for their commitment, teamwork and contribution to making VULKAN India an important and
respected part of the VULKAN Group.

Following the inauguration ceremony, guests were invited to take a guided tour of the new facilities and
see the latest developments first-hand. The celebrations continued with the distribution of sweets and
concluded with a shared lunch, where employees, guests and partners came together to mark this
important occasion.

The inauguration of the new facilities marks another significant step in VULKAN India’s growth journey
and underscores the company’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence and long-term
development.
