Vulkan India has been awarded the Rotary CSR Award 2026 by Rotary District 3131 at the prestigious CSR Summit on ESG & CSR Awards 2026 held in Pune.
The recognition was given for Vulkan India’s flagship CSR initiative, “Aid to Local Schools,” which focuses on improving educational infrastructure, promoting inclusive learning, and supporting sustainability across selected schools in Pune district.
Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Education
The Aid to Local Schools project reflects Vulkan India’s long-standing commitment to education as a key driver of social development. The initiative supports institutions serving students from rural areas, economically weaker sections, and children with special needs.
A key highlight of the project is the establishment of a Computer Training Centre for visually impaired girls at The Poona School and Home for the Blind, Kothrud. The centre is equipped with assistive technologies such as JAWS screen-reading software, along with computers, furniture, and upgraded facilities—enabling students to access digital education and skill development opportunities.
In line with its focus on sustainability, Vulkan India has also installed a 15 KW grid-connected rooftop solar system at Pirangut English Medium School, helping reduce electricity costs and promoting the use of clean energy.
The project further includes rainwater harvesting systems and a solar-powered water solution at SAMPARC School & Hostel, Bhambarde, ensuring reliable water access for students and staff.
At Mamasaheb Mohol Vidyalay, Mutha, the initiative has supported comprehensive infrastructure development, including flooring, classroom upgrades, laboratory improvements, furniture, and campus development. These enhancements have contributed to improved learning conditions and increased student enrolment.
